Foundations of Marian Devotion

Foundations of Marian Devotion is an adult faith formation program designed to promote a deeper understanding of why Mary is such a key figure in the life of the Church, particularly as revealed through Sacred Scripture.

This eight session program will be held on Wednesday evenings from September 2019 to December 2019 (including Sept. 11 and 25; Oct. 9 and 23; Nov. 6 and 20; and Dec. 4 and 18) and will be presented by Fr. Eric Mah, Pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Parish; and Priest Chaplain for UOIT, Durham College, and Trent University (Durham).

Each session (including a talk, small group discussions and Q&A) will held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the parish hall of St. Joseph the Worker in Oshawa before concluding with Eucharistic Adoration with Praise and Worship music from 9:00 pm to 9:30 pm in the church.

Topics include the following on the dates listed:
(a) The Annunciation (Sept. 11);
(b) The Visitation (Sept. 25);
(c) Finding the Child Jesus in the Temple (Oct. 9);
(d) The Wedding at Cana (Oct. 23);
(e) Mary at the Foot of the Cross (Nov. 6);
(f) Praying with the Rosary (Nov. 20);
(g) Marian Consecration (Dec. 4); and
(h) Marian Apologetics (Dec. 18).

The cost of the program is $25 per person, which includes course materials.
